Lasermet’s air-cooled laser beam dump uses convection cooling to absorb laser beam energy when connected to a laser beam shutter. The air cooling system aids in absorbing beam energy and dissipates more laser power than a shutter itself.
A built-in temperature monitor is included in the upgraded models.
Description
Lasermet’s air-cooled beam dump is designed to be used with a suitable laser beam shutter with an aperture of 16mm. Lasermet’s air-cooled beam dump is intended to absorb and dissipate laser energy deflected from a laser shutter through convection cooling.
Temperature Read-out Monitor
The BD-AC-16 Series can be upgraded with built-in temperature read-out which allows users to monitor beam dump’s temperature during operation. To start operation connect a power supply to the power terminal port of the beam dump using a DC cable.
